イギリスでガーデン･トラッグと呼ばれている木で作られたフラワー･バスケットに、我が家の庭で栽培した草花をアレンジしました。

これだけ大きなアレンジメントを作るには大量の花が必要となります。庭のスペースも限られていますので、お店で安く手に入る紅花、スターチスなど一般的な材料は買いもとめてドライにしました。

このアレンジメントでは初めて庭の小手鞠の花を使いました。どこの庭にもある、ありふれた花ですが簡単にドライにできて、ボリューム感がある材料です。花の中でもドライに向く白色の花は意外と少ないのでアレンジメントを作る時に大変重宝します。

このアレンジメントでは白から黄色のグラデーションをモチーフとしています。花ばかりをアレンジするのではなく、バラの葉、小手鞠の葉などをフィラーとして使用する事でボリューム感のあるアレンジメントが可能となります。

Your have to stock a lot of dried flowers to create the arrangement of this size. As my garden space is limited, I bought flowers available at flower shops with a reasonable price, and dried them in my home.

I used Spiraea cantoniensis for the first time in this arrangement. Spiraea is often found in Japanese gardens, and dried well easily. It keeps white color after drying, and masses of white tiny flowers are useful for large scale arrangements.

While most other white flowers quickly turn their color to pale brown after drying, Spiraea keeps white color for a relatively long period, so it is the valuable spicies for dried flower arrangement

I choose the gradation from white to yellow for this arrangement. You can create natural-looking large arrangement using green leaves of roses and Spiraea as the filler of this arrangement.
